Blue Charm: Gone In 60 Seconds

Flash sales do seem to be the new thing these days, and it would be China-based companies that happen to thrive on it. Lenovo recently saw its second flash sale of the Lenovo A6000 do very well, having shifted 20,000 smartphones in a matter of just 3 seconds, and hence, it is no surprise to hear that the Meizu M1 (aka Blue Charm) took all of just 60 seconds in order to see 1000,000 units sold – with a price tag of $112 each, of course. Meizu claims that they made use of an anti-fraud filter in order to ensure that the entirety of their orders were done by real people – no room for fakes here.

Just a quick recap on what the Meizu M1 has to offer – it comes with a 5” display at 768 x 1280 resolution, resulting in a pixel density of 299ppi. There will be a 64-bit quad-core 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6732 CPU running underneath the hood which is complemented by a Mali T-760 GPU. All of it will be accompanied by 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, a rear 13MP camera, a 5MP shooter in front, and a 2,500mAh battery. Surely this ought to be incentive enough for Meizu to work on another flash sale, don’t you think so?
