Lenovo P70 Launched With Massive Battery

lenovo-p70It was close to the end of last year when there was mention of the Lenovo P70 on the grapevine, a smartphone that was touted to arrive with a rather beefy 4,000mAh battery. Such a battery capacity points to a record-breaking battery life of up to 46 days in standby mode, now how about that? Well, whispers have become concrete since, as the Lenovo P70 launched in China for an asking price of approximately $225 after conversion.

At that price point, what are some of the hardware that you expect to see? We are looking at a 5” 720p display with a 246ppi pixel density, a quad-core MediaTek chipset which will chug along at 1.5GHz, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot. Located at the back would be a 13MP camera, while selfie lovers should be able to find the front-facing 5MP camera adequate. The Lenovo P70 is tipped to run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat as the mobile operating system of choice, although it will, in all probability, arrive with Lenovo’s very own Vibe UI right on top.

This looks set to be a China-only handset as at press time, so good luck looking for one if you do not happen to reside in the world’s most populous country!
