LG G2 Android 5.1.1 Update Coming Soon

LG-G2-Unboxing--13

The LG G2 is almost two years old now which is why after the handset was updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop a couple of months back many expected that the handset will not be updated to Android 5.1. No official word has come in yet from the company confirming or denying this but there appears to be hope now that the LG G2 Android 5.1.1 update might be released soon.

According to a new report a LG employee has confirmed that the company is actually working on developing this update and aims to have it out the door quickly.

It is further mentioned in this report that Android 5.1.1 for LG G2 might bring LG UX 4.0 skin for the handset which will bring some aspects of the software experience on the LG G4 to this handset, such as LG Health, Smart Notice and Smart Bulletin.

Android 5.1.1 Lollipop only brings a couple of features but it does include some rather important stability and performance tweaks which improve the overall performance of the device. So far this update has been rolled out to recent high-end Android smartphones only.

LG has not officially confirmed as yet when it’s going to start rolling out Android 5.1.1 Lollipop for the LG G2, we’ll keep an eye out for official word from the company, until then LG G2 users can’t do anything other than keeping their fingers crossed.
