UMI ZERO 2 Smartphone To Feature Dual Displays

Have you heard of the Chinese handset manufacturer UMI before? Neither have we, but it does look as though their latest device would be a smartphone that is worth checking out. After all, ever since the flip phone era ended, it is rather rare to see devices that come with two displays – the YotaPhone 2 notwithstanding, of course. UMI’s upcoming smartphone would be the new ZERO 2 device that will boast of not one, but two displays. A teaser image has already made its way to UMI’s official Facebook page, in addition to a “duplex life” punchline.

Battery life will always be an issue whenever there are two displays in question, and the UMI ZERO 2 will come with a secondary E Ink display located on its back, similar to what the YotaPhone range carries. An E Ink display will always be the winner when it comes to offering a pure reading experience, without taking up too much juice at the same time.

Further details concerning the UMI ZERO 2 remain scant, so we will just have to make do with what the rumor mill has offered so far – including a 5.2” Full HD display, a MediaTek MT6752 mobile chipset, 3GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, a 13MP camera at the back, and an 8MP front-facing shooter. It is tipped that the UMI ZERO 2 will roll out for approximately half a grand after conversion.
