Asus is just one of the many OEMs making Android Wear powered smartwatches, the first ZenWatch received quiet a bit of praise because of its good design and relatively affordable price tag which is why many were waiting for the ZenWatch 2 to go on sale in the United States. Those who have been waiting to pick one up can now head over to the Google Play Store and purchase the Asus ZenWatch 2.

The ZenWatch 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor with 500MB RAM and 4GB of onboard storage, don’t expect to find features like an integrated speaker or heart rate sensor, Asus kept the price tag affordable which is one major reason why such features are missing.

Customers get the option to purchase the ZenWatch 2 in two sizes which feature a 400mAh and 300mAh battery, both sizes have IP67 water resistance rating and also Gorilla Glass. Despite the difference in size and battery capacity both models actually have to same price.

As expected the smartwatch is powered by Android Wear so you get all the bells and whistles you would expect from Google’s wearable device platform. ZenWatch 2 costs $149.99 on the Google Play Store, both models are shipping between 1-2 days so you should get one fairly quickly if you place an order today.
