PlayStation Network Down For Some

It appears that Sony has not yet been able to sort out all of the gremlins causing headaches for PlayStation Network users. Early last month the network went down for a few hours and it’s more or less the same story today. Sony has confirmed that PlayStation Network is down for some users who no longer have access to network services, which means they’re locked out of online gaming, user profiles and more. Last month Sony apologized for the downtime by providing a free one-day extension to PlayStation Plus subscribers.

There are many apps, games, and services that require an internet connection on PlayStation 4, and given that it’s the final day of The Division beta, PlayStation 4 owners will certainly not be happy about the latest downtime.

Both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita users are reporting that they are unable to access PlayStation Network. Most of these users are located in Europe but some accounts suggest that gamers in other countries across the globe are facing the same issue.

Sony’s official support page says that “PSN is under maintenance” while the official Twitter account has acknowledged that some PlayStation Network users are experiencing connectivity issues. Sony says it’s investigating the matter so we don’t know what’s causing this and when it will be fixed.
