HTC Bolt Rumored To Come With Android 7.0 Nougat Preinstalled

htc-boltThere have been rumors swirling that HTC could be working on a device called the HTC Bolt that could be headed for Sprint. Now Pixel phones aside, the LG V20 is the only non-Google phone at the moment with Android 7.0 Nougat preinstalled, which is a big thing especially when you consider how long OEMs can take with their updates.

However according to a tweet by @LlabTooFeR, it seems that the LG V20 could soon be joined by the likes of the HTC Bolt as a new phone coming with Android 7.0 preinstalled. Usually phones released around this time come with the second latest version of Android, which would be Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but for HTC to release the Bolt with Nougat would no doubt be a huge selling point.

Considering that HTC worked with Google in the creation of the Pixel phones, we have to wonder if maybe HTC had some help from the company in getting the Bolt up to date with Nougat. Unfortunately there is no word on when the HTC Bolt will be released. So far leaked renders have shown that the device will resemble the HTC 10 in some ways.

There have also been rumors that HTC could be ditching the headphone jack on the Bolt, but that remains to be seen. Until then do take it with a grain of salt.
