Motorola Confirms Which Handsets Will Get Android 7.0 Nougat

motorola-nougatRecently Motorola confirmed that handsets in its Moto Z lineup and the Moto G4 will be getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update in Q4 2016. So that’s 2016’s handsets covered, but what other other Motorola handsets? Are those devices compatible with the Nougat update, and when will they get it?

For those who are curious, Motorola has published a list of handsets that will get the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Like we said, the Moto Z lineup and the Moto G4 are pretty much confirmed, so the other handsets on the list include the Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen), Moto X Style, Moto X Play, Moto X Force, Droid Turbo 2, Droid Maxx 2, and the Nexus 6 (which we guess was obvious).

So if you own any of the handsets above, along with the new Moto Z phones and the Moto G4, then we guess you guys can expect the update. However the rest of the phones mentioned above does not have a scheduled release date yet, but if Motorola is kicking things off with the Moto Z and G4 in Q4, there’s a good chance the other devices will only be updated come 2017, so we’ll have to keep an eye out for it.
