New York Times Goes Free For The Elections

One of the biggest events of this year is less than a week away, you know it, I’m talking about the U.S. presidential elections. You’ve followed the debates and the controversies and as people head to the polling stations on November 8th, you’ll want to follow up on all of the news just to stay on top of things. The New York Times wants to help you out and it will certainly be hoping that you get impressed by its coverage enough to purchase a subscription.

The New York Times is now inviting readers to access its reporting, analysis, and commentary from the days just before the election and the subsequent aftermath. Everyone will have unlimited access to NYTimes.com for 72 hours from 12:01 am ET on Monday, November 7th until 11:59 pm ET on Wednesday, November 9th.

The scribe will be providing live coverage on election night from hundreds of races across the United States. Real-time analysis by the political team is also going to be provided. It’s also going to hold a livestream of election coverage on its Facebook page.

The livestream coverage is going to feature live video reports from correspondents at polling stations across the United States as well as in college campuses and election viewing parties. It’s great that the New York Times is breaking down the paywall for the elections and it would certainly want readers to like its coverage so much so that they decide to start paying for a subscription.
