Battlefield 1 was one of the most highly anticipated games of this year and it’s safe to say that fans of this franchise are happy with what they have received. All eyes are now on the post-launch content that will be released for this game in the months to come. EA has now released the concept art for the first Battlefield 1 DLC titled “They Shall Not Pass.”

They Shall Not Pass, the first Battlefield 1 DLC, is going to add new maps and weapons to the game. The highlight of the DLC is going to be the French Army which will be added to Battlefield 1.

Electronic Arts isn’t giving much away right now about the missions that this DLC is going to bring, but it does mention that it’s going to involve Verdun, which was one of the longest battles of the great war. It’s also going to involve the Battle of Soissons in which the French Army deployed almost 500 tanks to take back control of the land that was lost to the Germans in their Spring Offensive of 1918.

“Some 40 million artillery shells were fired over the course of the battle at Verdun, pulverizing the ground, turning the earth into a shattered lunar landscape. And underneath some of these trenches, tunnels and underground fortresses provide for new experiences yet unexplored in Battlefield 1,” EA explains.

The first premium Battlefield 1 DLC titled They Shall Not Pass is going to be released in March next year. Battlefield 1 Premium Pass holders will get it two weeks prior to its public release.
