NetherRealm’s Injustice 2 is shaping up to be quite the superhero smackdown as far as DC characters are concerned. Now thanks to the latest gameplay trailer released by the developers, it looks like it has been confirmed that Black Canary will be added to the game and will be amongst the playable characters that players can choose from.
For those unfamiliar, Injustice 2 is the sequel to the previous game, Injustice: Gods Among Us. It features various DC superheroes and villains fighting amongst each other where based on the storyline for Injustice 2, it seems that Brainiac is the new villain in the sequel. So far the confirmed list of characters include Black Canary, Robin, Brainiac, Poison Ivy, Bane, Batman, Blue Beetle, The Flash, Harley Quinn, Superman, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Deadshot, Gorilla Grodd, Aquaman, and Atrocitus.
There are also expected to be more added to the game thanks to a DLC, but so far it looks like the roster is pretty well-stocked with a wide range of good guys and bad guys to choose from. Right now the beta for the game is currently live with the game set for a release on the 16th of May where it will be available on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, but unfortunately there is no mention of PC support yet.
