Verizon Will Now Fix Your Broken Phone Screen At Home

Verizon today announced that those on its Total Mobile Protection insurance plans will now receive additional perks that include home-service for replacement of broken phone screens. The service is only being offered in a select few cities so if you’re not living in one of those cities this is not going to be of any use to you. It all depends on the coverage as in some cities Verizon will even provide replacement of broken phone screens on the same day.

The insurance plans now enable Verizon customers to get their broken or cracked phone screen replaced for a $79 deductible as long as they’re in one of the areas that’s covered by this service. If you are, Verizon is going to dispatch a technician to your home once you’ve put in a request who is going to take care of it all.

The carrier only offers same-day repair on select handsets such as the Galaxy S5 through Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy Note 4 and Note 5, iPhone 5C, 5S, 6, and iPhone 6S. The iPhone 7 models are not covered.

Verizon does mention that more than 60 percent of all customers are now on the new program but the full list of supported cities on its press release shows that it’s not being offered in some major cities such as San Francisco, New York City, and Boston. (Update: the list of supported cities has been updated and Boston are now in the list).
