Asus Lyra Mesh Wi-Fi System Available Starting Today

As more and more devices get connected, we demand more out of our wireless networks. No wonder people are shifting to mesh Wi-Fi networks because one router just doesn’t cut it anymore, particularly if you have a lot of smart internet-connected gadgets lying around. Many companies have released their very own mesh Wi-Fi systems and now Asus has joined that list as well with the Lyra. The Asus Lyra mesh Wi-Fi system is available for purchase starting today.

Mesh Wi-Fi networks don’t only provide better coverage throughout the entire network but they also provide for better throughput. That’s essential to a seamless networking experience in this day and age.

Asus is selling a three-pack of Lyra routers for $399.99. It’s asking for a bit more than what its competitors are selling similar systems for. Each Lyra router has support for 802.11ac Wi-Fi and provides a few thousand square feet of coverage indoors.

The Lyra hubs talk to each other using the 5 GHz band and users can keep both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands for connecting for their devices.

TrendMicro provides the built-in security software for the Lyra. It’s called AiProtection and the software promises to protect users against malware and malicious websites at the network level.

The Asus Lyra mesh Wi-Fi system is available for purchase starting today from retailers like Newegg, Fry’s, and Amazon.
