Apple TV Listed On Amazon After 2 Years

It has been two years since Amazon decided that it will no longer sell the Apple TV. It was a competing product and Amazon would much rather you buy one of its Fire TV products. However, now that the company is close to releasing its Prime Video app for the Apple TV, it has quietly listed the new Apple TV 4K on its website. Amazon will soon start selling the Apple TV after a break of two years.

Not a lot of people were happy with Amazon’s decision to stop selling the Apple TV via its online store. Customers didn’t like that Amazon was limiting choice for them just because it wanted them to purchase its hardware instead.

However, that changes now as the Prime Video app nears release. The Apple TV 4K has been listed on Amazon now and even though it’s currently listed as out of stock, it’s only a matter of time before Amazon starts selling Apple’s set-top box.

This is also a good sign that the Prime Video app may not be that far off. Amazon is yet to confirm when it’s going to release the app for Apple’s set-top box.

If you think this is an indication that Google’s Chromecast devices will get listed on Amazon soon as well, you’re out of luck. Chromecast devices don’t have support for Prime Video and until they do, it’s highly unlikely that they will be sold through Amazon.
