Google was previously asking too high a price for the dongle and it hasn’t taken the company long to realize that it needed to cut the price.

Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL owners won’t immediately have to spend money on the dongle, though, as every new Pixel smartphones ships with a dongle inside the box.

Customers who require replacements can head over to Google’s online store and pick up the USB-C to headphone jack dongle. Google was previously selling it for $20, many thought this was too high a price to ask for a simple dongle. Google has listened to the feedback and has cut the dongle’s price to $9. That’s the same price that Apple charges for its dongle.

There are also a plethora of third-party dongles available online so it’s not like this will be the only option that customers have.
