PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Reaches 30 Million Players On PC And Xbox One

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds a.k.a PUBG is without a doubt one of the most popular games of this year. Just how popular you ask? It has been confirmed today that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds now has more than 30 million players on PC and Xbox One. The game has only just left Steam’s Early Access program on PC after staying in it for nine months. The game has received several updates during this time.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been breaking records ever since it was released. The game even managed to bring in more than one million players within 48 hours of its launch on the Xbox One. The game has also sold more than 20 million copies on PC.

Until today, it’s wasn’t known for sure just how high the player count was on both platforms. The game isn’t available for any other platform at this point in time. You can only play it on PC or Xbox One.

“With over 30 million players globally across PC platforms and the Xbox Game Preview program, we owe the success we’ve experienced this year to the community, whose passion has inspired all of us here at PUBG Corp. to make the very best game we can,” the developer said in a press release today.

The developer also promised to further fine tune the Battle Royale experience and to introduce additional in-game content such as new crates early next year.
