Apple’s Online Store Goes Offline Before Today’s Event

Whenever Apple’s online store goes down ahead of an event it’s usually an indication that new products are coming. Apple is going to conduct its education-focused “Field Trip” event later today and it has now taken its online store offline which suggests that reports about some new products just might be true.

Apple’s online store was taken down earlier today as the company prepares for its Field Trip event. If you visit the store now you’ll just find the “We’ll be back” message which has sort of become a tradition over the years whenever the company is gearing up to launch new devices later in the day.

Apple’s event today is going to begin at 11 am ET so assuming that the proceedings will last for an hour, we can expect the online store to be back by 12 pm ET. The new products that are announced during the event should then likely be featured on the website’s homepage.

As far as the new products are concerned, reports suggest that the company might launch two new iPads this year. It’s also expected to announce something related to the Apple Pencil owing to a hint in the event invite which gives the appearance that it was drawn using a pen.

Apple hasn’t confirmed anything related to its new devices as yet but we’ll find out for sure soon enough.
