Forza Motorsport 7 Loot Crates Removed In Latest Patch

A major patch is being rolled out for Forza Motorsport 7 which removes loot crates from the game. They will be replaced with mod cards that will be provided to players from now on. The cards will enable players to change the conditions of some races and who they earn additional points. Fixes for many bugs are included in this patch as well.

The crates were first added to the title earlier this year. They divided the player base and the developer has listened to the feedback from the majority of the players and decided to do away with the loot crates.

Turn 10 Studios confirmed in its latest Forza Motorsport 7 live stream that the patch removes loot crates and that players will now earn Mod Cards instead of prize crates. It also adds a Race Shop which will feature mods, driver gear, and badges. It will reset every six minutes so that players can see the new items often and will be customized to each player.

The patch also revises the game’s collision model and changes the way tyre friction and track energy dissipation are calculated. This means that players will now be less likely to spin out or lose control of the car in the event of an on-track collision. The update brings eight new cars as well that are free for all players.
