Cheapest Galaxy S10 May Also Have The Smallest Battery

It has been rumored for the longest time that Samsung is going to release three models of its upcoming flagship smartphone. The rumor mill is now of the view that the company will be launching the Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+ come February. A new report claims that the cheapest Galaxy S10 model, which would be the one branded “Lite” is also going to have the smallest battery. It would be smaller than it is on many of Samsung’s affordable smartphones it seems.

The report is based on a South Korean certification for the model code linked to the cheapest Galaxy S10 model. If the information contained in the certification is accurate, the Galaxy S10 will only have a 3,100mAh battery.

At this rate, one can expect that the actual performance of this battery is going to be similar to that of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9. The battery life is one of the reasons why both of those devices haven’t scored as well as they would have in the reviews. That’s the main reason why the “+” branded larger models have been more popular as they have bigger batteries.

Nothing is obviously set in stone right now so do take it with a grain of salt, particularly if you feel that a battery this small doesn’t suit a flagship model in 2019
