Solar technology is certainly interesting, and the more development goes into it, the cooler stuff we’ll get in the future, right? The folks over at SMIT (Sustainably Minded Interactive Technology) are running for a grant to get their Solar Ivy product to become a commercial reality. The concept is rather interesting, as it showcases a flexible net of photovoltaic leaves that can be draped over an entire building to capture solar energy. This concept is probably akin to you installing solar panels all over your house, though it will be interesting to see a comparison of the energy gathered from both methods. If you think it’s worth supporting, check out more details on the project.
