Apple offering refunds to recent iPad buyers

Apple iPad 2 Great news for those folks who purchased an iPad recently and didn’t know Apple was going to announce the iPad 2 yesterday. Apple has announced that people who purchased the first generation iPad within the last 2 weeks can be subjected to extra special treatment. They can either request for a $100 refund, or they can return their device to Apple for a full refund since the iPad 2 will be offered at the same prices that the current iPad. It basically would be like a trade in for the new device. However, the 2 week window means that folks who only purchased the iPad as early as February 16 would be eligible for the offer. How many of you folks are eligible for the offer, and will you be taking up it?

iOS was once upon a time called iPhone OS, or "operating system", which is the software that provides all the basic device functionality and is the interface between the hardware and applications. iOS was introduced with the iPhone on January 9 2007, and it was originally not intended to be programmable by third parties. Steve Jobs had envisioned that developers could create Web Apps that would run in the browser. This changed less than one year after when the iPhone SDK (software development kit) was introduced in October 2007. Today, hundreds of thousands of apps have been created for this platform. iPhone OS became iOS on June 2010. Interestingly, both iPhone and iOS were former trademarks of Cisco, that Apple now uses under a license.
