I thought that the idea of using a Nikon lens as a mug – not literally, but rather, the exterior of the mug has been fashioned to look like that of a standard Nikon lens, where it is made out of plastic or ceramic to hold your favorite (hot or cold) beverage inside, is brilliant. Well, here is yet another interesting take on what you see as a standard Nikon lens – it has been “turned” into a speaker. This musically inclined Nikkor AF-S 55-200mm lens is capable of playing tunes from a connected device – as long as the device is compatible with a 3.5mm audio port, of course.

Apart from hooking up this cleverly thought up device, it is also able to support a microSD memory card or TransFlash memory card just in case you need more storage space. There is also an integrated battery which can be juiced up via USB, boasting a maximum playback time of anywhere from 3 to 4 hours. Depending on which eBay listing you look at, the prices range between $20 to $40 a pop, grey version lens included.
