Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve seen alleged leaked photos of what is believed to be Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 2 which will be unveiled on the 29th of August. Based on the photos, it seems that the Galaxy Note 2 could be based on the Galaxy S3’s design, or maybe not. Thanks to the folks at SamMobile, they have received a photo from a tipster which claims that Samsung could also be unveiling a new media player. Pictured above is the purported Samsung Galaxy Player which as you can see, resembles the Galaxy S3 quite a bit. It will sport a gigantic 5.8” qHD 540×960 display and will be powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor. It will come with a 3MP rear-facing camera and is also expected to run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Given the looks of this device, could the leaked photos actually be pointing to the Galaxy Player instead? In any case SamMobile believes that this device could be revealed by Samsung at IFA 2012 in Berlin, so stay tuned for the updates! In the meantime we suggest you take this with a grain of salt.
