If you’re into wearable cameras, diving underwater, or participate in extreme sports, chances are you might have checked out GoPro’s lineup of cameras which are not only designed to be worn, but are also rugged, allowing them to be used in the most extreme of situations. Now the good news is that if you are the proud owner of a brand new Xbox One gaming console, you might be pleased to learn that a GoPro channel will be making its way onto the Xbox One console in the near future in the spring of 2014. However there were no specific dates mentioned about its upcoming launch, so we guess we will just have to keep an eye out for it.
Like we said given GoPro’s reputation for wearable cameras that can capture extreme sports footage from a first person’s point of view, the GoPro channel for the Xbox One will presumably be related to action sports. However the content released will not be user-generated content, but rather ones put together by GoPro, which we guess will most likely serve as a good way to advertise the company’s products. According to GoPro, this channel is expected to be similar to the channel offered on Virgin America, and if you’ve flown or about to fly with the airline company, you can check it out to get a better idea.
With gamers these days being more demanding and no longer satisfied with just being able to play games, companies such as Sony and Microsoft have started to add more social and entertainment features, providing gamers with an alternative to gaming if they need a break or want to do something else.
