xbox-one-hands-on-review-02We have heard about the rumored PS4 Virtual Reality (VR) headset last year, and this time around, it would be the PS4’s great rival, the Xbox One, that looks set to be on the receiving end of at VR kit next June. Word on the street has it that the Xbox One will see an announcement of this VR head-mounted display (HMD) at E3 2015, where it could very well be released later on in the second half of the year. In fact, VR developers have been confirmed to be working with an Xbox One VR HMD right now, as there is a developer kit that is ‘circulating’ among a group of developers working on the console even as you read this – at least according to VR Focus.

Not one, or two, but several studios have already confirmed the rumors of them working with such a device, although there has been no further specific or detailed information concerning the device itself as at press time. We are quite sure that this will be but a matter of time, however, since such news can be difficult to keep under wraps for long, not to mention the abundance of devices at the workplace that can snap some decent looking photos on the sly. It remains to be seen just which video game titles will be compatible with this Xbox One VR kit, but you can be sure that with Project Morpheus HMD being developed for the PS4, alongside Oculus VR’s Oculus Rift PC HMD, competition in this area is starting to heat up. When will the Wii U get a VR kit?
