school-bus-selfieAh, the selfie, which is a bane of mankind’s modern existence. Selfie sticks have not had such a great rep, as they have recently been banned over at museums in New York and Washington D.C., not to mention a more gruesome note where a teen sent a selfie with his allegedly murdered victim inside over Snapchat. Well, this time around, an incident that involves another selfie would be a driver who captured herself with what looked to be a bottle of beer on a school bus. Needless to say, from working for region’s largest school bus company, she has now been removed.

First Student Transportation’s spokesperson Jen Biddinger, mentioned, “We are incredibly disappointed by our driver’s actions. As soon as we became aware of the photo, we immediately began an internal review of the matter. She is not driving for First Student or working in another role for the company. While we have determined the photo was taken after the driver’s route; that no students were on board; and, that the bottle was unopened, this behavior is completely unacceptable.”

It really goes without saying that one ought to be a whole lot more selective at the kind of photos that one takes in this day and age, not to mention be careful with where you upload it to.
