tesla model s p85dIt has been rumored for a while now that Apple is working on an electric car of their own codenamed Project Titan. Apparently the Cupertino company has begun hiring new employees who have had some kind of experience in the automotive industry, such as those who are working at Tesla.

That being said, it looks like Apple has managed to nab one more member. Jamie Carlson who was a senior engineer at Tesla appears to have joined Apple. According to his LinkedIn profile, it now reads that he’s been working at Apple since August 2015 and is working on the company’s “Special Projects”.

While it can’t be confirmed as to what this “Special Projects” might be, Carlson’s hire is just one of the many that Apple has made recently that have some kind of experience developing self-driving cars, thus fueling the rumors that Apple is indeed working on an electric/self-driving car of their own that could potentially end up competing with Tesla.

Now whether or not this car ever becomes a reality, like that rumored Apple HD TV we’ve been hearing about and has yet to materialize, remains to be seen, but for now it looks like Apple’s efforts at creating it has been ramping up. That being said it is possible that these hires may be a coincidence, but either way we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more info.
