samsung_s_healthOne of the perks of owning a Samsung phone is that you get access to Samsung-exclusive apps such as the S Health app. For those who are unfamiliar with the app, basically it’s like the Health app on iPhones. It will collect data on you such as how much walking you’ve done, how much sleep, how many calories burnt, and etc.

However like we said, the app was an exclusive to Samsung devices, and even then it appeared to reserved for Samsung’s higher-end products. Now the good news is that if you wanted to see what all the fuss was about with regards to S Health, you’re in luck because it appears that Samsung has decided to release it to the masses.

The app will now be available for anyone with an Android phone to download, as long as you have Android 4.4 KitKat or newer. However at the same time if you want to take full advantage of the app like its heart rate monitoring feature, you will need a compatible device, but even then the rest of the features should be good enough for the average user.

That being said, S Health is just one of many health apps available on Android, but if you haven’t found one that suits your needs in terms of features or design, then perhaps S Health might be a worthy alternative. To get your hands on it, just pop on over to the Google Play Store for the download.
