lg-g5_hands-on_23The LG G-series has been kind of a mixed bag of reviews. There are some releases in which have been very well received, but some that have gotten lukewarm responses. The LG G5 earlier this year is one of those handsets, where its high-end specs was unfortunately overshadowed by its modular accessories that didn’t exactly sit well with customers.

So what can we expect from next year’s LG G6? According to The Korea Herald (via Mobile Syrup), it seems that iris scanning technology and mobile payments will be some features to look forward to. This is actually not the first we’ve heard such rumors as last month rumors of iris scanning technology finding its way to the phone surfaced.

We also heard that LG could be adopting MST technology for mobile payments. Prior to this LG had a physical card that they planned to use for mobile payments, but we guess if these rumors are true then it looks like LG has decided that maybe not having users carry around a separate device for mobile payments might be a more streamlined/convenient solution.

There were originally rumors that said that LG could ditch the modular system that they created with the LG G5, but the company later denied the rumors and said that they were still looking at the needs and expectations of their customers.
