Samsung pointed out during the Galaxy S8 event last month that the new handset comes with an app called Samsung Health, which is an updated version of the S Health app that Samsung users already have, and that it’s going to enable online doctor visits for users in the United States. Samsung today rolled out an update for the app and it will henceforth be known as Samsung Health. The online doctor visits feature is onboard as well, just like Samsung promised.

The new feature itself is called Ask an Expert. It will enable users to consult a proper doctor online 24/7. However, this feature is only limited to users in the United States right now and it’s unclear if and when Samsung will expand Ask an Expert to other countries across the globe.

The update also adds six main types of health management devices to Accessories which includes the likes of ACCU-CHEK. Users can add a custom pace-setter that matches their goal and performance level following this update as well.

It remains to be seen if the Ask an Expert feature will prove to be more than just a gimmick and something that Samsung device users really rely upon in their time of need. The Samsung Health app is now live and available for download from the Google Play Store.
