Beats, now owned by Apple, today announced an upgraded model of its premium Studio headphones. The new Beats Studio 3 Wireless headphones feature Apple’s W1 chip. They also promise improved noise cancellation. The new headphones feature redesigned internals and longer battery life when compared to its predecessor.

As far as the overall design is concerned, the new headphones retain the classic Beats design. The company does say that the ear cushions have been improved so the new headphones are more comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. They will be sold in six colors.

They feature Apple’s W1 chip which enables the headphones to effortlessly and immediately pair with nearby iOS and Mac devices. When connected to a W1-compatible Apple product, the headphones should provide a wireless battery life of 22 hours with noise cancellation off. This is bumped up to 40 hours in the low-power mode in which noise cancellation is turned off.

The noise cancellation has been improved using Pure Adaptive Noise Canceling. The Studio 3 Wireless headphones sample the user’s surroundings constantly and adjusts the strength of the noise cancellation on its own to provide an enhanced experience.

Customers can pick up the new Beats Studio 3 Wireless headphones from Apple and retailers for $349.99.
