If you’re a fan of BioWare’s Baldur’s Gate franchise, you might have heard that in recent years, Beamdog has taken over the development of the game and has revived the originals and brought it onto PCs and also mobile. While we’re still waiting for a Baldur’s Gate 3, you might be interested in learning that a new game for mobile has been released.

Dubbed Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, this is basically the mobile version of the PC release which was made available back in 2016. We guess after about 2 years the game is now ready for mobile, so better late than never, right? This also marks the first expansion that we’re seeing for the game after more than a decade.

For those learning about the Siege of Dragonspear for the first time, this is an expansion meant to fill the gaps between the original game released in 1998 and its sequel in 2000. It will also introduce a new playable class in the form of the shaman, and will also offer up different difficulty levels to cater to all kinds of players.

Pricing of the expansion is unknown at this point in time, but it is scheduled to be released on the 8th of March on iOS and Android devices. In the meantime you can check out the trailer of the upcoming game above.
