Wi2Wi Mobile Embedded Hotspot introduced

[CES 2010] Wi2Wi announced their latest Mobile Embedded Hotspot technology that introduces the capabilty of turning any business and consumer electronic device armed with an Internet connection into an impromptu, pocket-sized wireless hotspot which can support up to 8 users simultaneously. This would translate the slew of MIDs, smartphones, digital cameras, portable media players and GPS navigation systems to double up as Wi-Fi access points, relying on fixed broadband or 3G connectivity to hook up to the Internet. This is made possible by transforming such portable devices into micro Wi-Fi Access Points, paving the way for robust real-time streaming of audio/video content via Wi-Fi. Great to know it is also backwards compatible with earlier generation of Wi-Fi enabled products. Currently, MEH technology can be found in three of their products – the W2SW0001, W2CBW003 and W2CBWG01.
