Researchers Develop Flexible Display Based On Pico Projectors

The smart researchers over at Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada are busy working on a new type of flexible display. Code-named Cobra, it works by combining a wearable computer and shoulder-mounted pico-projector coupled with a flexible display that has flex-sensing wires and sensors. What this means is that users will be able to interact with the system via the screen itself. In theory, you could bend a corner back and release it to simulate the shooting of an arrow or casting a fishing line. It’s pretty cool, and it’ll be interesting if this technology became mainstream in the gaming market.
