Limera1n runs on Mac, Greenpois0n plays nice with Linux and Mac
Geohot’s iOS 4.1 jailbreak known as Limera1n will now play nice with Linux platforms in addition to those running on Windows and Mac OS X machines, while Chronic Dev Team’s greenpois0n variant will be able to handle just relevant iDevices connected to a Linux, OS X, or Windows machine. One word of caution before you proceed though – there is still no available working carrier unlock for iOS 4.1, so it is always prudent to back up your baseband before giving either option a go. After all, Murphy’s Law tends to strike when you least expect it, so if life’s plain sailing for you at the moment, you might want to think twice.
