Acer to offer Windows 7-powered tablet in February 2011

Acer just announced that they will be rolling out a Windows 7-powered tablet from February 2011 onwards, which is a good two months earlier than the April date that many other people had originally anticipated. This Microsoft-friendly device will tip the scales at less than 1kg, sporting a thickness of just 0.6-inches to make this 10.1-inch tablet a wee bit different from the rest of the other Acer tablets announced today. To know that it ships with a dock that boasts a full-size keyboard ought to bring some level of comfort to folks who want a tablet as well as a physical keyboard in order to maintain their productivity regardless of where they are. With an AMD processor running proceedings from within, this Acer tablet will also feature two 1.3-megapixel cameras, as well as Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity to make sure you remain connected at all times to the Internet – as long as there is a decent signal, of course. No idea on pricing details as at press time though.
