Kaleidescape Introduces Industry’s First Blu-ray Movie Server

Blu-Ray Discs are great for movies, but the reality is that most of us don’t enjoy having to swap out the discs when we want to watch another movie. Kaleidescape is looking to capitalize on that with the introduction of the industry’s first Blu-ray movie server. The system stores exact copies of your Blu-ray Discs on its hard drive and makes it easier to enjoy your collection of movies. It offers high-resolution cover art combined with a brief synopsis of each film and other details to make exploring your collection of movies exciting. The bad news is that this $1,495 Modular Disc Vault will need to be connected to an individual player which will set you back at least $2,500. Still, if you’re rich enough to have a fairly large Blu-ray Disc collection, you shouldn’t have any trouble finding the money to fund this purchase.
