Sprint’s Samsung Intercept to receive Android 2.2 Froyo update
Looks like even entry-level smartphones which run on the Android operating system will not fall short when it comes to operating system updates, as evident by Sprint announcing the Android 2.2 Froyo update for the Sprint Intercept in the form of the DL05 download. Apart from the OS upgrade, users will also benefit from improved Sprint Navigation while kissing goodbye to inadvertent force closures and dropped calls – hopefully for good. Bear in mind that this update will be released in batches by Google, so if you’re a Samsung Intercept owner, you might just have to be patient for a while before it is your turn. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S, one of the best Android to date (recently until the Nexus S came along), is still waiting for its Android 2.2 Froyo update. Keep on drumming those fingers, people!
