Kinect X-Ray hack shows your skeleton

There seem to be no end to the number of Kinect hacks out there and next up we’ve got the fun of X-Rays coupled with the Kinect sensor. The folks over at the Technical University of Munich came up with the Magic Mirror program, allowing you to stand in front of the Kinect and see the insides of your body in the form of a skeleton. Using tools such as OpenNI and PrimseSense NITE, they were able to superimpose high-resolution CT images of a person’s insides onto the body of the person standing in front of the Kinect. As the subject moves around, what you see will be adjusted accordingly. For this prototype, the CT scan came from someone else, but you could probably substitute it for the actual CT scan when it’s your turn to give it a try. Check out a video of it in action after the jump.
