Apart from the option to pick up a new Full HD display by ponying up extra dough, you will still rock to the range of quad-core Core i7 2GHz processors, an AMD Radeon HD 6490M graphics card with 1GB video memory, 4GB RAM, and 640GB hard drives. HP has also decided to play Santa this summer by throwing in free upgrades to 6GB RAM and 750GB hard drive space, although there is no legitimate word on how long such a promotion will be valid for.
Just bear in mind before you whip out that credit card – 1080p displays are only an option on the Quad Edition models and the dv6t Select Edition, so you cannot have the dv6 or dv7t in your sights and expect a similar upgrade path. If you purchased the HP Pavilion Quad Edition dv6t and dv7t prior to this revelation, what are your feelings at the moment?
