Samsung Galaxy S II checks in at FCC hotel

It is interesting to note that the Samsung Galaxy S II have already seen early reviews of it published online, and initial impressions seem to be extremely favorable (Apple, you hear that?). Well, it has arrived at the FCC at long last, so that means it will be arriving at store shelves soon. The Samsung Galaxy S II is super slim at 8.49mm, while it sports a 4.3″ Super AMOLED display which is stunning to say the least (albeit at 800 x 480 resolution), a dual core processor (that seems to be the norm these days, don’t you think so?), an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front facing camera for video calls. Not only that, this smartphone will also come with 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, GPS support and a 1650 mAh battery to support all the above mentioned.

Oh yeah, did we forget to say that the Samsung Galaxy S II will not be gimped where the operating system is concerned, since it will ship with Android 2.3 Gingerbread? The FCC did approve the device’s GSM 850 and 1900 bands, alongside WCDMA Bands II and V, so that clearly points toward it functioning nice and well on AT&T’s 3G network.

There is no concrete date for a Samsung Galaxy S II release in the US at the moment, albeit it has already rolled out in the UK and South Korea.
