Canada gets Zune Music Marketplace and Zune Music Pass

Hmmm, who listens to music on their Zunes anymore? I guess there is still quite a bunch, otherwise why else would Microsoft announce that the Zune Music Marketplace and Zune Music Pass will arrive in the Great White North when October 3rd rolls around? To put it in a nutshell, this would mean Zune owners in that part of the world are able to access a growing music catalog of over 14 million tracks from all the major labels, in addition to even more music to the tune of tens of thousands of indie labels.

The Zune Music Pass will cost C$9.99 monthly, but if you think you’re going to use the service for an entire year, you might as well go for the money saving C$99.90 option that is paid by the year, where it will also be able to be used on the Xbox 360, Windows Phone, Windows PC, Zune devices and Zune.net platforms.

Apart from that, Zune Music Pass in the US and Canada will throw in streaming for tens of thousands of music videos through the Zune PC software and later this fall on Xbox 360, where the former will see it happening from October 3rd onwards.
