ZTE and FashionTV team up to create the FTV Phone

ZTE FTV phoneWhile PRADA and LG have teamed up to create a beautiful-looking Android phone, it looks like ZTE and Fashion TV have decided to take the concept of a “fashion phone” into the opposite direction. The two companies recently collaborated to create the ZTE FTV Phone: a rebranded version of the ZTE Blade/Orange San Francisco. The phone packs underwhelming specs and a terrible design that seems reminiscent of those imitation Nokia feature phone covers that were sold in the past.

The ZTE FTV phone has a 600MHZ processor, a 3.5″ WVGA AMOLED display, 512MB of RAM, WiFi, GPS, FM Radio, Bluetooth, and runs on Android 2.2 (yes, Froyo). The phone will be preloaded with FTV content – apps, wallpapers, widgets, and will have the FTV logo stamped all over the device on its front. No word on pricing or release date, but I have a feeling it’s not going to be the most popular of phones.
