Samsung Galaxy Nexus i9250 has extended capacity battery

Smartphones these days tend to suffer when it comes to their battery life, simply because of the abundance of features that they carry. Well, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the best superphone to date, although that is sure to be superceded in due time. Having said that, no matter how great the Galaxy Nexus is, it is still subject to battery life issues, or rather, the lack of it. It seems that the international version of the Galaxy Nexus ships with a standard 1750 mAh battery, but for those who are superusers and might not find it convenient to juice up your phone in the middle of the day, Samsung’s solution would be an extended capacity battery.

Samsung’s OEM extended batteries were specially designed to look as unintrusive as possible, where a new battery cover absolutely needs to be designed to make space for the larger battery without bulking up the Galaxy Nexus. The 2000 mAh extended battery adds a negligible amount of thickness, where the camera will retain a similar sleek wedge shape. Alex Dobie of Android Central claims that the 2000 mAh battery can last for at least 36 hours.
