Huawei MediaPad arrives on AT&T

Huawei has just announced that their tablet which was first revealed to the world last year will be making its way towards AT&T from tomorrow onwards. AT&T’s enterprise users are the target market of both the carrier and Huawei, where one can choose from different price points to suit a particular business account. Just to recap, we do know that the Huawei Mediapad will come equipped with a 7″ IPS multi-touch display alongside the Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system from Google. With a resolution count of 1280 x 800 pixels, your eyes will be in for a feast, while the 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor running underneath the hood should have enough muscle to get whatever job done on your new tablet.

At the back lies a 5-megapixel camera, while the front has a 1.3-megapixel camera with 4X zoom and autofocus. The back camera is capable of shooting Full HD video, making it a backup just in case your smartphone’s memory is already full. Since it rides with AT&T, this means it will also play nice with AT&T’s Wi-Fi Hotspots. Having said that, I am not quite sure why it is not going to arrive with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich – perhaps it is a US thing. [Press Release]
