Samsung ST77 “super slim” camera makes its way to South Korea

If you’re living in South Korea and you’re shopping for a new compact camera, Samsung might have something in store for you in the form of the ST77, a camera that the company has touted as being “super slim”. It comes with a variety of features and will be available in either black or white and will retail for ₩169,000 (~$150).

In terms of specs, the Samsung ST77 will sport a 25mm lens with an aperture of f2.5, which in theory should make this camera great for wide angle shots and relatively low-light conditions. It will also feature a CCD with 16.1 million pixels, an optical 5x zoom, the ability to record videos in 720p HD quality at 30fps, and a 2.7” LCD display.

It will also come with some “fun” and interesting features, such as Funny Face that creates distorted photos, The Magic Frame which allows for the creation of poster-like photos, and a Picture-in-Picture feature which as the name implies, lets the user capture a photo and place another photo in it. As far as a US release is concerned, it is expected to be made available come March 2012.
