Lenovo the company behind the K800 Android powered smartphone said that the device will debut in China two months from now. The K800 comes with a Medfield processor 1.6GHz Atom z2460, and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. While the details on the device are still fuzzy, our friends over at Engadget managed to get their hands on some benchmark results from a K800 prototype running Android 2.3.7.

According to the report, the figures were not as fast as when it was seen at CES 2012, but it did come close to the Galaxy Note (international type) which is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core Exynos chipset. More than that, the device did top the others (HTC One X and One S) according to the figures that can be viewed above. What remains to be seen according to the online report is whether or not the Medfield chipset will deliver a better battery performance than its competitors; so until a final unit is out, we can only make do with the benchmark results.
