Samsung releases source code for Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and 10.1

If you were planning on getting your hands on either the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 or the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, you might be interested to hear that Samsung has since released the source code for both devices. So how does this affect you as an end-user, you might ask? Well the release of the source code will allow developers from the hardworking Android community to cook up some interesting ROMs and mods for your tablet. This will allow you, as an end-user, to drop the Samsung TouchWiz UI in favor of something else along with other features that could enhance your tablet experience.

The source code has been released for six different models: the GT-P3100, GT-P3110, GT-P3113 which are variants of the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, and the GT-P5100, GT-P5110, and the GT-P5113 which are the different versions of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. If you fancy yourself a developer or if you’re simply curious, pop on over to Samsung’s website for the details and the download.
