Samsung GT-B9120 Android flip phone announced for China

When it comes to Android-powered handsets, we’re used to seeing them come in full touchscreen designs or full touchscreens with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, but in case you miss the days of the flip phone and you’re not living in Japan, it seems that Samsung has something planned as far as the Chinese market is concerned. Dubbed the GT-B9120, this particular Samsung Android handset is an alternative to the SCH-W999 has been designed as a flip phone with dual displays – one on the outside and one on the inside. Each display is sized at 3.5” and will come with a resolution of 480×800.

Apart from that rather unique feature, under the hood the GT-B9120 will pack a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon processor with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and comes with HSPA, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS along with a 5MP rear-facing camera and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. No word on pricing or availability, but it looks like if you’re in the market for an Android flip phone then the GT-B9120 might be worth your consideration although we doubt that this particular handset will be making its way stateside, at least not anytime soon.
