Sony unveils VAIO L all-in-one desktop system with Bravia X-Reality engine

If you’re in the market for an all-in-one desktop solution, it looks like Sony might have just the device worth taking a look at. In addition to launching upgraded versions of its VAIO series of laptops, Sony has also taken the wraps off the VAIO L which is an all-in-one desktop solution that features a 24” LED backlit multi-touch display with a resolution of 1920×1080, HDMI input and output, USB 3.0 ports and a slot-loading Blu-ray drive. To truly make it a home entertainment system, Sony has utilized its Bravia X-Reality display engine which is essentially the same engine used in its series of televisions. It will pack the latest Intel Ivy Bridge processors under its hood and a webcam built-in that supports gesture recognition. This will allow users to perform basic gestures such as volume control and forward-and-back navigation. Sony is currently offering a regular version of the VAIO L which starts at $1,249.99 and is expected to introduce a glasses-free 3D model later this summer. [Product page]
